Online Surveys and Mock Juror can Payoff but Do Your Research First
Many companies employ people to take online surveys and give opinions on product performance or for other purposes. Same goes for being part of a mock jury. Usually you will register online on the Internet.
The company will contact you when they have products and services they need reviewed, or surveys they need completed. Alternately, you will go to their site and register or take surveys or participate in a mock jury.

In today’s video, I’m testing if you can ACTUALLY make money from those survey websites. This is part of my series where I test random/weird ways to make money, check out the other videos I’ve done! (Walking dogs for an app, flipping thrift store clothes). All in all I would say that these surveys websites aren’t actually a scam, you just make so little money it’s not worth your time unless you really have nothing else to do.
Surveys and reviews have been going on as a part of business as long as the internet has been around. Even before the internet there were companies that paid people to do surveys.
If you want to make money online there are many ways of doing it.

A good way to learn about survey sites is by going to this review site. From that review site you can more easily compare various survey offers or companies.
Another way to find out more about online work opportunities is to use review sites like SurveyPolice. This particular site offers reviews and information about survey sites.
Also there are articles by well-known sites like ThePennyHoarder that have articles where they have reviews of legitimate online paid survey work-at-home opportunities.
Not all Online Surveys are Real
Nowadays things have become more convenient as far as taking surveys. Surveys can be designed and posted on websites. The incentive stays the same, however, since money is a great lure for most people.
Using the Internet, marketing companies are able to reach more people. They can produce more surveys, and make them easier to reach more people. This makes taking surveys, another great option for at home moms or anyone else looking to earn money.
There are many survey options online. Not all are real opportunities, however. You definitely need to be aware of this.
There are several things these companies have in common. The first is that registration is required before you are paid for the surveys.
A way to help identify if a site is a real marketing company that conducts surveys is through the contact information on the site.
They should provide an email address, and phone number. Sometimes they give a street address. Call the phone number and ask for customer service, or survey questions.
That being said, you will find some without phone numbers or addresses. My advice to find out more about them is to use review sites or articles where paid survey sites are rated or examined.
Do this before signing up or giving your email address to them. If a website does not give any way to contact them I’d eliminate that site from my potential list of opportunities.
You will have to Disclose some Personal Information
You will need to disclose some important information about yourself. This includes your name, address, and phone number. This enables them to contact you regarding any personal survey options.
Also it gives them a place to mail checks, assuming that is the payout option you choose.
Ask them how long they have been in business. About how many surveys they conduct on a regular basis.
This is important information that will help you tell if the company is legitimate or not.
Be aware if you’re not registered at a site to take the surveys, you are not working for a company that will pay you. You may be at a scam site.
Some Necessary Requirements for Surveys
For United States residents you will need to file the W-9 tax information. Not every company will be filing taxes on every survey taker. Only if the minimum payment where income has to be reported is exceeded.
Once that’s exceeded they do. This will enable the paperwork to be filed for you, should it become needed. If you make more than their maximum amount where you need to claim the income they will provide you with either a 1099 or a W2.
Each company being different, they will disclose this income information to you, once you are registered and are an active survey participant.
Any Particular Survey Might only Run a Limited Period of Time
Surveys are frequently only available for specific periods of time. This helps to make them more accurate and timely. From the end of the survey period to presentation, survey results are analyzed.
Then prepared for presentation to the company they are surveying for. With that information, the company requesting the survey is able to formulate the next step it needs. It could be to create a better product or service.
Maybe adjust the price or take some other action depending on the results of the survey. Some survey companies will announce survey availability to you through your email. This means your email account needs to be active.
You may want to have a business email account. This can help by limiting your business contacts to one email address. That way you are able to register for as many companies as you would like. With a single email address you can easily find the emails. No sorting through personal email would be necessary.
Other survey sites will have survey opportunities on their site for you to apply for or start taking. You will need to go to their site to see them.
Want to make a Few Bucks Participating as an Online Juror?
Ejury.com is different kind of online opportunity that pays you for being part of a mock jury online. It is not exactly an online survey. But it does gather people to effectively be part of an online jury and get paid for it.
An attorney prepares his/her case for submission. This is made up of facts from each party’s perspective. EJury converts the attorney’s submission into an online format.
Then it posts it on a secure website where only Ejurors have access. They review the facts of the case. They provide answers to the questions.
Once done they hit the ‘submit verdict’ button and get paid. You are paid $5 to $10 for every verdict.
You probably won’t make much money in a mock jury, but there may be exceptions to this. But if you like the idea of being a juror from your own home this may be for you.
According to their website people living in or near large cities will have the most opportunities to be a juror.
This opportunity is just for the United States, however.

Taking Online Surveys won’t make you Wealthy
Like many other jobs available online, survey taking is something that can be done within the confines of your everyday life. It is usually something that can be done at home.
As long as their deadlines are met, you can complete as many or as few surveys as you so desire or qualify for. This might entail working for several survey companies simultaneously.
Taking online surveys can make you some extra spending money. However, they won’t make you wealthy and definitely not rich. That’s OK. They are not designed for that. Not everyone that wants to make money online is ready to quit their day job.
So don’t count on online surveys to allow you to do that. If you are lucky and they do, count your blessings.
Should you get involved in Ejury or similar online jury opportunities and make money there, also consider yourself lucky. Not everyone is able to make money online.
These are two great ways to make some extra dollars without leaving home. Do some research and see if they will work for you.
